CHEGUTU-based apostolic choral group - Chiedza Chevatendi - who caused a stir with their hit album Ivhu Kuvhu have gone a step further by releasing a new DVD titled Uchanotaura Chokwadi.

The 10-track Uchanotaura Chokwadi is a compilation of songs from their third album Kubva Pamakatisika and latest Uchanotaura Chokwadi.

Although the DVD has technical hiccups here and there, the videos were well done and take the viewer through each and every song without difficulties and the illustrations are consumable with ease.

The DVD begins with the title track illustrating what are deemed good and bad deeds and Chiedza Chevatendi asserts that all people will one day be accountable of all their works while they were still living.

Uchanotaura Chokwadi looks in the negative at nepotism and courts of law whereby one can escape the wrath of the law after committing an offence.

The song avers that nepotism and unscrupulous judging were by no means near God’s standards as people were to stand by their actions where judgement is done without any prejudice.

In Zvidhinha Neuswa, the Mugodhi Apostolic Sect group revisits the trying times when the Israelites were in bondage under Pharaoh in Egypt.

The song, which is off Kubva Pamakatisika, describes the hard work, which was their routine under Pharaoh and vow they would never return to Egypt an allegory of captivity.

They video shows people moulding bricks from very limited stocks while they also used grass in the kilns to burn the bricks for reinforcement.

Zvidhinha Neuswa encourages people to persevere until they overcome all obstacles.

Ngatitaure Nababa is another song off Kubva Pamakatisika that encourages people to turn to God as the solution to all troubles.

The song asserts that by faith and turning to God even the solution to the dreaded HIV and Aids could be found and all wars in the world can become a thing of the past.

Ndinogamuchira urges people not to panic whenever there is a mishap since God has a plan for everything and solutions to all things as He created the heavens and earth.

People the world over are encouraged to harness talents given unto them by God in the song Matarenda.

While Chiedza Chevatendi affirms that they have talents in singing for the world, they also urge people to use their talents in worshipping God.

Other songs on the album include Anouya Nokupenya, Bvisai Dombo, Muchero Wakanaka, Ndinounza Rufu and Tendai Jehovah.
