Mayinja Thrills His Fans
EVERY last Thursday of the month, Silk Lounge hosts a selected artiste in an unplugged session (live performance). Last Thursday, Eagles Production Band’s Ronald Mayinja’s was unplugged.
He got some help from a few artistes, especially members of the Eagles Production. But for unplugged concerts like this one, if an artiste sings over a prerecorded CD like Qute Kaye did, it is frustrating.
From the Eagles band, Cathy Kusasira performed her hit song, I Love You.
Haruna Mubiru, Stacia Mayanja and Maureen Nantume also performed, while the man-of-the-night, Ronald Mayinja waited in the wings.
When he stepped onto the stage, the audience stood, dancing to his music. He took the audience on a trip through his musical journey, performing his first studio recording, Sinzooba, recorded in 1996.
