Nigeria Music Video Awards Hots Up
The evolution of the Nigerian Culture and Entertainment Industry has come along a tortuous course!
The outcome has been rewarding and all agree that the struggle has been worthwhile. The progress of today cannot be sustained without the establishment and monitoring of a reliable system of measuring and reappraising standards and capacities! This is the primordial basis of the Nigerian Music Video Awards!
The exploits of Nigerian music videos in Africa, Europe and North America in the past decade have earned Nigeria some reasonable levels of reckoning; it is an established fact today too that Nigeria exalts some reasonable levels of cultural influences one way or the other on Africans, both at home and in the Diaspora. Presently, the Nigerian Music Video industry has marked up and can compete favourably with other music videos produced by their international counterparts, a feat that deserves encouragement.
Indeed, there has been a music video revolution in Nigeria. This is the basis for the introduction of the first Nigeria Music Video Awards. The Awards is meant to recognise and reward particularly the outstanding creators of music videos (i.e. Directors, Editors, Animators, Directors of photography, choreography e.t.c) in various categories.
I want to reassure on behalf of the NMVA organising committee that this will turn out about the best ever organised music event in Nigeria. Once more I call on every stake holder join hands with us even as we make history.
