Luciano Misses Flight
Organisers of the Smile Zimbabwe Splash concert to be held in Harare today and tomorrow featuring Jamaican reggae artiste Luciano yesterday said the artiste missed his flight.
Luciano was scheduled to arrive today for two shows at the Glamis Arena at the Harare Exhibition Park tonight and another at the Harare International Conference Centre tomorrow.
Although a spokesman for the promoters — Shumba Instrumentation — was hopeful that Luciano would still make it, he said there were a few outstanding issues. “He is coming and from what I have right now, he has missed the flight to Zimbabwe and I hope things will go according to plan,” he said. When asked on whether Bongo Maffin was coming, the spokesperson, who identified himself only as Chitimbe said: “Please call me after an hour I am busy at the moment.”
Repeated efforts to get further details from the promoter were fruitless, as his phone went unanswered before it switched off.
